About the Founder

Together We Dance was founded in 2021 by Emma Sturm during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is currently a freshman at Chapman University. Dancing since the age of 5, she has found dance to be an outlet: a place where she can let everything go and just focus on dance. Since elementary school, she has loved working and communicating with younger children. Through her two passions of dance and working with children, she created Together We Dance to bring children with disabilities together, and to also show people that no matter who you are, everyone can dance. Emma aims to make Together We Dance a safe and special place for children. She created the program during the COVID-19 pandemic in hopes that her students would be able to find an outlet in dance for themselves as well.
